Play begins with each player being dealt with two cards face down. The cards are played on betting. These are the cards which are distributed to the players for the game. In the whole game the players keep on betting large amounts on the cards. The game is like that you can’t cheat and play the game. If you cheat in the game you are removed from the game at that moment itself. This game is played in large groups or large number of people. The hand begins with pre- flop betting round. After the flop betting round ends, another card is burned and single community called the turn is dealt, followed by third betting. A final burn card is followed by a single card called the river. The Holdem Poker can be played online also. Most of the people play online. The game is played by number of people. Most of the games are played in casinos, pubs etc. the amount a player bets depends on what type of game he is playing. After betting round ends the dealer discards the top card of the deck. This is called a burn card. This prevents from cheating.

The showdown

If a player bets and all other players fold, then the remaining player is awarded the pot and is not required to show his hole cards. If two or more players remain after the final betting round, a showdown occurs. On the showdown, each player plays the best five-card hand he can make from the seven cards comprising his two hole cards and the board (the five community cards). A player may use both of his own two hole cards, only one, or none at all, to form his final five-card hand. If the five community cards form the player's best hand, then the player is said to be playing the board and can only hope to split the pot.
