						Internet Gambling Effects

One of the main effect of
Internet gambling is the gambler gets addicted to
gambling, which causes disruption in major areas of life
in psychological, physical, social and vocational.
Addictive gambling is sometimes referred to as the
“hidden illness” because they are not easily been shown.
The American study says that the gambling addicted
people are always mentally and physically ill and 2-4%
of the Americans have the active gambling problem.

						It is significant to note
that teens are about three times more likely to become
pathological or mentally ill type of gamblers than the
adults. This is very common for any type of addiction
where the problem among the adults is very slow. This is
because the addiction starts very soon with them.
Children of the colleges and many youngsters follow the
path of the elderly people, because they think they are
still small and try to handle big things and go in for
Internet gambling. This affects the m in the long run.
They start spending their money on gambling and when
they are finished with theirs they start robbery, crime
and many criminal activities which puts a very bad
effect on the society and they stand nowhere among the
people. Finally they end up with either behind the bars
						or commit suicide.

						The
Internet gambling can be stopped among the children. If
the children are interested in the Internet games the
parents should decide what type of game or game sites
are appropriate for their children, like what type of
game they are playing and which is good for them. Some
other things one can do are: know where your kids are
going online and what they are doing. You should
establish clear rules about what online games they
should play and keep the internet-connected computers in
an open area and not in their personal room. You should
also keep reminding them that it is illegal for them to
gamble online. Online gambling usually requires a credit
card to gamble on the Internet, so make sure that they
ask you for permission to use the credit card number.
These are some of the ways how Internet gambling can be
prevented. The countries laws are also taking many steps
						to stop Internet
						gambling among the minors.
