Gambling in Hungary:
Hungary, this European
country has legalized gambling in casinos. There are
four major cities in Hungary where maximum no of casinos
are found. Budapest the capital city of Hungary has 4
casino facilities and 8 slot machines. In four major
cities of Hungary have 7 legal gambling facilities
available.
The largest casino in the country of Hungary is Casino
Las Vegas & Sofitel Atrium Budapest, which is located in
Budapest.

In Hungary, gambling has had two traditional forms of
gambling "totó and "lottó" in the last decades and the
Hungarian familiar with these two games only. In 1991,
Hungary govt. draw out a new idea of establishment of
Gambling Fund so as to let some of the gambling income
flow into the budgets of spheres in public interest.
Several foreign models were observed at the time of
structuring the Hungarian system, because there didn't
exist any internal traditions.
Hungary Gambling Act:
Almost in all European
countries gambling laws are quite similar. Though
gambling activities are legalized in Hungary yet there
are some restrictions put by the legislation in
gambling. Hungary govt. not legalized every kinds of
gambling. They just legalized casino gambling only. In
Hungary gambling will be prohibited unless it is
specifically permitted. Usually
Permissions will be
granted by license, permit, registration, or exemption,
as provided by the Bill. Whoever run casino or gambling
activity without permission it is considered as offence
in Hungary and punishment is given for each offences.
In
2005 the Hungarian Parliament passed an amendment to the
gambling law, which classify the gambling industry in
Hungary
according to their license. It introduced the Category
1, “Super Casino” with more than 100 gambling tables and
at least 1,000 gambling machines, which are accessible
for private investors.
