Arizona Gambling Law – Arizona Act
Gambling as a sport is
tremendously popular all over the world. However, not
all countries accept gambling as a legal sport. Gambling
in many countries is still banned. However, the United
States of America accepts gambling as a legal sport. In
spite of its legal status, there are several laws
present to govern the sport of gambling in the US. It is
interesting to observe the legal system of gambling in a
federal state of the US, namely Arizona.
Vital Laws
Every state in the US has a few variations in the laws
that are laid down for gambling. The same is the case
with Arizona. The state government of Arizona has made
it mandatory for the individuals to follow certain rules
and regulations while indulging in gambling activities.
Some of the major rules and regulations are as follows:
1)
The Arizona state government accepts
regulated gambling. Regulated gambling refers to
gambling that is carried out in accordance to the state
gaming laws. It is also necessary to follow the rules
and regulations of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of
1988.
2) It
is necessary that gambling is carried out in accordance
with the statute or rules of the Arizona state
government or with the rules of the US government.
3) It
is necessary that the individual or the organization or
the firm that is involved in gambling pay all the taxes
and gambling fees as stipulated by the state
authorities. The taxes can be in the form of local
taxes, taxes by the state government or federal taxes.
4) There
are certain gambling organizations that can get tax
exemption from the government agencies. It is mandatory
for such organizations to make their records open to the
people.
5) It
is extremely vital that the individuals involving in the
sport of gambling are 21 or above 21 years of age.
Youngsters or adolescents below 21 years will not be
permitted to be involved in gambling.
6) It
is also necessary that al players compete on equal
terms. No player would get any undue advantage while
competing in any sport related to gambling.
7) If
the gambling is not conducted according to the state
rules and with the proper state permits, it is
considered as illegal. Such gambling activities can be
terminated immediately.
Thus, these are a few of the major laws that are
implemented in the US state of
Arizona. Without
following these rules no individual or organization can
be involved in gambling in the state of Arizona.
