 Gambling Age:

Gambling can be a form of entertainment if handled with
caution and right attitude. A good approach is to aim to
win but to also be prepared to lose and lose only the
amount you planned to risk on that day. In other words,
you have to accept the fact that you cannot force a
winning outcome and you cannot win every time. The
casinos have an in-built mathematical advantage on
virtually every game. On the other hand, the player
practically makes all the playing decisions including
when to quit. Depending how players make those decisions
						will determine their future.
Facts related to Gambling and Age:

Cohen (1957) found that the conformance of subjects’
						statistical predictions to statistical reality
increased, roughly, with age. These statistical
predictions did not, though, come to exactly fit real
world probabilities for those in even the oldest groups
studied. Botwinicik (1969) contributed some data that
may increase our understanding of the relationship
between age and risk taking. He found that, in
comparison to young adults, his elderly subjects chose
options that were not less risky when they were forced
to take risks. However, when the option to avoid the
risk altogether was available, it was selected by a
significantly greater number of the elderly. There would
appear to be implications of these findings for the
casinos. Griffiths (1989) provides us with the following
summary of their findings: "Up to about ten years old,
the children believed money could be made from gambling,
but from the age of ten onwards, they believed money is
usually lost from gambling and only won under special
						circumstances".

 Legal Age:

Based on above studies Policy makers decide from what
should be the age of client before permitting her or him
						to gambling houses. In
						Canada minimum age
is 19 before a person is allowed in Casinos. But you are
allowed to play Bingo if you are 18 year old. Internet
Gambling due to its inherent nature has attracted young
population. Younger people less than 19 year of age are
						also on-line gamblers.
