						Gambling In California

California as a new destination for gamblers:

Gambling is one of the fastest growing industries in
California. Now the gamblers in California do not have
to go to Las Vegas or any other place to gamble. The
Californians can choose from a variety of gambling
opportunities because the gambling industry is an
established industry in USA. It is also a good source of
income for the government because a lot of revenue is
earned by the government due to the taxes and all other
method through this industry. California has legal
gaming that includes a state lottery, pari-mutuel horse
wagering, card clubs, Indian casinos, and charitable
gambling. Now every type of gambling is available in
California. The main reason why the industry is on the
increase is because of the facilities provided by the
						government.

What are the basic gambling trends in California?

						As
it is stated earlier the gambling industry is one of the
						fastest growing industries in the
						California.
The trends in the California are not different than any
other part in USA. California is the sixth largest
gambling state and the rate at which this industry is
increasing the California can go up to the third largest
in next 5 years. According to a report the Gambling is a
$14 billion business in California. The amount actually
lost by consumers is much less, approximately $2.5
Billion. While that is a small portion of California's
approximately $700 billion economy, it is a sizable
amount of money. The basic framework of gambling was
provided by the people through constitutional amendments
						rather than by the Legislature.

Gambling trends in other parts of then USA:

The gambling trends are depressing in whole of the USA.
Gambling affects a wide range of people from different
kind of backgrounds. Researchers say that gambling is
the fastest growing teenage addiction, with the rate of
pathological gambling among high school and college-aged
youth about twice that of adults. People of age 21 or
older, a survey of teenagers at Atlantic City High
School revealed that not only had 64 percent gambled in
a local casino but 40 percent had done so before the age
of 14.  Adults made their first bet for money at the age
of 22.5 on average. Nineteen percent placed their first
money bet before the age of 16.  The average teenager
begins gambling at an age of 12. These are only some of
the facts in reality the gambling is affecting the USA
						in much severe way.
