						In many countries like the
UK and several nations in and around theCarribean Sea
online gambling is legal and regulated. The US Federal
Appeals Courts has imposed that Federal Wire Act
prohibits electronic transmission of information for
sports betting across state lines. there is no law, rule
and prohibition bill prohibiting gambling of any other
kind. Almost all states have specific laws against
online gambling. Owning an online gaming operation
without proper licensing is illegal. Online gaming
licenses are currently not granted by any of the states.
						Internet gambling Problem

There are several sites devoted to fixed-odds gambling
over the internet, with gamblers typically betting on
the results of sporting events. Bet exchange is a
relatively new internet innovation which allows
individuals to place bets with each other.people play
casino games in large number of online casinos. These
games vary from Roulette, Blackjack to Craps and many
others. This games makes money due to the fact that the
odds are slightly in its favour as these are played
against the house. Some of the sites are less
mathematically fair than they appear and have been
proven to offer rigged games. There are definite
problems in these type of gambling. the internet brings
gambling right into a player's home as a result the
level of problem gambling increases. The level of
pathological gambling also increases through online
gambling. the prevalence of problem and pathological
gamblers is roughly doubled by the presence of a
gambling facility within 50 miles. The high level of
privacy internet offer sand the high-speed instant
gratification of Internet gambling may exacerbate
						problem and pathological gambling.

						Clauses of bills

The most prominent bills prohibiting gambling are S 692,
HR 3125, HR 4419 respectively known as Kyl, Goodlatte,
Leach. Most of the bills state the basic
						prohibition
that it is unlawful for a person engaged in a gambling
business to use the Internet or any other interactive
computer service to place, receive, or otherwise make a
bet or wager. Bills next set out penalties for
violators. They also state that either federal or state
authorities can obtain injunctions in federal district
court against illegal Internet gambling businesses.
Also, the bills exempt several types of gambling like
fantasy sports leagues, state lotteries, and certain
activities under the Interstate Horse Racing Act of
1978. they also provide an extensive set of provisions
dealing with interactive computer services, which would
include businesses such as America Online and web
						hosting companies.
