Illinois Governor Suggests Pension Proposal As reported by the Chicago Sun-Times: "Gov. Blagojevich today will suggest diverting cash from the future sale of Illinois' disputed 10th casino license to reduce the $38 billion shortfall facing the state's public pension systems. "…The idea involving the sale of the license once earmarked for the Emerald Casino could generate as much as $500 million, though the administration acknowledges that license might not be available for the state to sell during the next year because of continuing legal wrangling.
