South Carolina Courts to Hear Appeal As reported by the Myrtle Beach Sun News: "The state Supreme Court will hear Georgetown County's appeal of a lower-court ruling that said the county could not ban casino boats. "The appeal comes even though the state passed a law last year allowing counties or cities to regulate or ban casino boats. The court also heard an appeal last week in a similar case from Edisto Beach. "Oral arguments in the Georgetown County case are set for 10 a.m. Feb. 14.
