Isle of Capri Relief Fund Established Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. today confirmed that Hurricane Katrina affected all of Isle's 1,150 team members on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Isle of Capri Relief Fund, headed by a team of community leaders, team members and former Isle president Jack Gallaway in conjunction with the Gulf Coast Community Foundation, has been established with an initial $500,000 grant from the company.
"Our top priority is taking care of our team members. On Monday and Tuesday we distributed payroll checks to a large portion of our Biloxi workforce. For hourly team members, payroll will continue for a minimum of 90 days and for salaried team members for a minimum of nine months. In addition, we have established the Isle of Capri Relief Fund to help bridge the gap between federal, state and local aid," said Tim Hinkley, president and chief operating officer. Team members can apply to the Isle of Capri Relief Fund for assistance with items not covered by federal, state and local aid. "At this point, the parameters for assistance are wide. For instance, a team member may need to replace all of his or her prescriptions and health insurance may not pay for duplicate medications. Or a team member may need assistance covering the cost of a building permit to rebuild his or her home. The Isle of Capri Relief Fund was put in place to meet this type of request," said Jack Gallaway. "We also hope to help team members that did not have any type of insurance coverage either home or health related." Contribution Information Additional tax deductible contributions to the Isle of Capri Relief Fund can be mailed to the Gulf Coast Community Foundation, P.O. Box 446, Fairhope, AL 36533 payable to Isle of Capri Team Member Hurricane Relief Fund. Team Member Relief Details Team members impacted by the hurricane can apply for assistance by completing an application form available at the Isle Corporate office at 1641 Popps Ferry Road in Biloxi, at any Isle of Capri Casino across the country or the company website http://www.islecorp.com as soon as it is available. The completed application should be sent to Rose Dellenger by fax at 228-396-2634. Additional information can be obtained by calling the Gulf Coast Community Foundation at 251-445-6942.
