Bodog.com Posts Football Proposition Wagers Today, Bodog.com released odds on the number of yards the Miami Dolphins' Ricky Williams will rush for during the 2005 NFL season.
"The star running back's departure and subsequent return to the NFL has left many questions in the minds of Miami fans," says Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog.com. "Will Williams be playing at the same capacity as before he left? What is his level of commitment? Will he get the touches he needs to create a potent attack on the ground?" Williams stunned football fans and his fellow teammates when he announced his retirement from football a year ago. His return to training camp in 2005 was not without controversy. Williams, who owes $8.6 million to Miami for violating his contract, publicly apologized to Dolphins fans, staff and players. He is set to play this season after serving a four-game suspension. A considerable amount of attention will be paid on how Williams performs, if he performs. During Williams' time away, Miami made Auburn standout Ronnie Brown a first-round pick in this year's draft. With an outstanding rookie and a talented veteran in the backfield, the Dolphins' offense is suddenly intriguing. Also released today were odds on who will be named the NFL's Most Valuable Player. Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, last year's winner, is currently the favorite at 4/1. New England's Tom Brady and Philadelphia's Donovan McNabb, the two Super Bowl quarterbacks, follow at 7/1 and 10/1, respectively.
