Ohio Bingo Operators Indicted As reported by the WHIO TV News: "Seven bingo hall operators have been indicted in a 268-count indictment by a Montgomery County grand jury. "…[Attorney Jim Petro] said Ohio law is clear, any and all profits from games of chance must go to legitimate charities. "In January of 2004, the Ohio Organized Crime Task Force and local law enforcement officers raided Bingo halls across Montgomery County. "…The indictment alleges the eight Bingo centers and their operators were breaking the law by pocketing the dollars raised through charitable gambling activities and using it for themselves. "…These seven Dayton-area individuals are listed in the indictment and face various charges ranging from racketeering to money laundering, to tampering with records…"
