7 Card Stud Poker is one of the most traditional poker games. Its popularity includes all major casinos and card houses. The game is challenging on a level of understanding the laws of poker as well as being able to analyze the fall of the cards.
Rules of 7 Card Stud Poker
7 Card Stud Poker begins with everyone getting two cards dealt down. These are called your hole cards. The table is usually limited to seven players unless you are playing with multiple decks. After you get your hole cards, you then bet one them. Different people anti different ways, but in poker everyone usually throws in an equal amount every time.
After the first round of betting, each player gets another card face up; then you bet on it. This will be repeated until you have four cards face up and have bet five times. By this time, you should have an idea of what you have and what others could have. If you have nothing by this point, you should drop out.
The last card is dealt down and considered a hole card. After you get this card, you bet one more time then it is over. You turn your cards over and they speak for themselves. You can only play your top five cards so if you tie, you cannot use the remaining two cards to decide.
