A Texas holdem strategy is not easy to develop. Many different people play many different ways. You are just going to have to learn the method that fits your style, stomach, wallet and situation best. No one strategy will always be a winner.
Developing Your Texas Holdem Strategy
To develop your Texas holdem strategy, you must first know what type of holdem you are playing. There is a big difference between all in tournament style and a normal poker game. When you can go all in, you have the ability to bully players around with money and the threat of being eliminated early. But, if it is all of your real money, you are not going to be quick to go all in.
To get the right strategy, you must think about what kind of a player you are. If you are conservative, then you should take that road. Play when you have good hands but also mix it up a little. You don't want to only be in when you have the nuts. But, conserving your money and not staying in every hand is always a good option.
If you are a more aggressive player, make sure that you set your feet before you start bluffing. You can bully people around with money because there are going to be people who don't want to lose any money. If they are intimidated by you, you have the upper hand. Just do not get in too deep. When you are caught onto, back off for a while. Win some legitimate hands then pick it back up.
