As reported by the Argus Leader: “Secretary of State Chris Nelson and 
Attorney General Larry Long are willing to have the challenge from a group 
that wants video lottery repealed to bypass the circuit court and head 
straight to the state’s Supreme Court. “Since the challenge involves an 
interpretation of the state constitution, the high court probably would have 
been asked to rule, even if the case had started in circuit court. “Daniel 
Brendtro of Lennox brought the challenge. He led the petition drive to place 
video lottery on the ballot.”
