As reported by the Associated Press: “Officials at a new problem gambling center in Reno said demand for treatment is high and there’s already a waiting list of people seeking help.
“The center that officially began taking patients earlier this month said its intensive outpatient program is filled. Operators hope to raise $250,000 to offer another daily session.
“Based on a nonprofit Las Vegas gambling addiction treatment center, the Problem Gambling Center in Reno has been operating since November, but didn’t advertise services until March.
“After the intensive six-week treatment, which requires four group meetings a week, patients get one year of weekly ‘aftercare.’…”
