As reported by the Detroit Free Press: “Free casino meal coupons will flow
to back to Greektown restaurants, some of which have been cut off for
months, as gaming regulators eased their rules Thursday. “The Michigan
Gaming control Board voted 4-1 in a special meeting to rewrite its rules
concerning Greektown Casino’s $8.7 million complimentary meal program. “.A
handful of Greektown restaurants were told in February and March that they
no longer could accept the free meal coupons from casino patrons because
they had not met gaming control board licensing rules. Since then they have
lobbied the board for relief from what they say is overzealous regulation.”
