As reported by the Botswana Daily News: “Chairperson of the Casino Control 
Board of Botswana Lekwalo Mosienyane has been appointed chairperson of the 
Gaming Regulators African Forum. “A press release from the Ministry of Trade 
and Industry says Gaming Regulators African Forum aims to promote grounds 
for sharing of practical experience on matters pertaining to regulations of 
the gaming industries across Africa. “The Gaming Regulators African Forum is 
also a consultative forum where various matters of common interest in the 
gaming industry are presented and discussed by the members.
“.Membership of the forum is open to national gaming regulators on the 
continent. Currently Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe 
Swaziland, South Africa and Botswana have signed the memorandum of 
understanding and are full-fledged members of the forum.”
