Gambling is a part of our civilized society since last few centuries. Government and gambling are two terms, the relation between whose is very difficult to find out. The government in most of the places around the world is dependent on gambling as a source of revenue. One of the state run operation known as the lottery has been producing funds for both state and the local government since many decades. However in many places the government is issuing legislatures for the complete ban of gambling. The main aim of government is to maintain order, to preserve justice and to promote the common good. It is the responsibility of the state to control its citizen from indulging into excessive gambling. It must not promote the gamblers to gamble more by offering a source of easy money and greed.
