Pai Gow Poker is one of the most traditional gambling games. It has been played in many countries all over the world. Las Vegas adopted this game and made it extremely popular for all visitors.
Pai Gow Poker combines the ancient Chinese game of Pai Gow with the card game called poker. It uses the same strength schedule of hands as poker with the set up of Pai Gow. This combination makes the game slow paced and enables low risk people to play for a long time without losing a great deal of money. But, if you don't bet a lot, you cannot win a lot.
Rules of Pai Gow Poker
Each player, including the dealer, will be dealt seven cards. You are to separate them into two different hands, one consisting of five cards and the other consisting of two. The five card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. The dealer will then do the same.
If both of your hands beat the dealers, you win. If you lose one and win one, you will push. If the dealer wins both, you lose. As you can see, this game will result in a lot of pushes, meaning that you will be able to play more hands if you are not winning.
