Red Dog Poker

Red dog poker is a rarely played card game, especially in casinos. Some people like it because of its simplicity but others don't like it because the odds don't seem to be in the players favor. The rules of the game do not implicate poker one bit, although the name poker is sometimes associated with many card games.

How to Play Red Dog Poker
Red dog poker is pretty simple. The dealer deals two cards. If they are consecutive, it is a push and the deal deals again. If they are the same, then the dealer will deal a third card. If all three are the same, then the player will win a larger stake, usually 11 to 1.

Once the dealer has dealt cards that are not consecutive or the same, then the player must bet on whether the third card dealt will be in between those cards. The fewer cards that are in between those numbers means the higher the payout is going to be. The casino will give you the complete pay scale.

This is a very simple game that can have a big upside but does not seem to be very popular. If you are into this game then you are going to have to look online for casinos that host it. Finding it in Vegas can be a chore.
