Women gambling
Gambling is a form of entertainment, sociable, and
exciting for most of the women. Gambling does not
interface the daily routine, relationships, or
employment. They enjoy all kinds of recreation besides
gambling, and their thoughts do not revolve around when
they can gamble next or find more money. Women usually
gamble funds that are not needed for food, shelter, or
other necessities. They have a realistic view of their
odds, although they hope to win, they also expect to
lose. Women do not lie about gambling or winning neither
money nor do they compulsively return to gambling to win
back lost money, women are just social gamblers.
Women gambling
Some women have a very different relationship to
gambling, a completely different view altogether. They
go gambling as a means of escaping or avoiding people,
circumstances, and emotions by developing a tunnel-like
focus, blocking out everything but the game they are
playing. They just lose awareness of time passing, money
disappearing, and other people, while they are gambling.
When such a woman is feeling sad or depressed, her mood
will soar with the excitement of a win or near-win. When
she is suffering from low self-esteem, she will equate
winning with a sense of accomplishment or importance,
such women are problem gamblers then.
Common reasons for women going gambling

overcome

the current problems and the unresolved grief

Gambling different for women
Women gamble
for different reasons altogether different from men.
Women about 70 percent go gambling to overcome several
circumstances. Women usually play different games than
men. Random games that are played alone and require
little skill or knowledge. They may go for bingo, slot
machines, lotteries, scratch tickets, pull-tabs, and
raffles. The male problem gambler is typically outgoing,
talkative, and gregarious. Men often seem self-assured
and in control, while on the contrary women problem
gambler is more of withdrawn, socially isolated, and
suffering from extreme feeling of guilt, shame, and low
self-worth.
