of gambling through ages:
Gambling is common collective term that can be used for
various games. There are different forms of gambling and
each of them has their own very distinct history but
eventually find their way into each other. Gambling
always was and will be an important part of history and
prevailing form of entertainment for the rich and the
poor all alike. Many a times gambling played a major
role in history. More over history has bear the evidence
that gambling replaced wars and was used as a means to
clear dispute in several issues over land, politics and
many more. In 1700s lotteries were established to bail
out newly established British colonies. Later on,
Americans used state-wide lotteries to sponsor the
founding of national educational infrastructure. It
would be wrong to assume that gambling in America
started during the colonial times along with European
settlers. Scientific studies and researches have been
found that the Red Indians, the original inhabitants of
America also practiced gambling as a form of
entertainment. The twentieth century marked the
beginning of a whole new world of invention and along
with this new innovations has been made in the gambling
world. One such remarkable innovation was the
introduction was the inventions of the slot machines,
the ancestors of the present day computerized slot
machines.

Sport betting
is one of the most popular forms of gambling. Alone in
the United States even it is not regulated or legalized
it has been generating billions of the dollars every
year. This has been more aided by the development,
introduction and the accessibility of the internet
technology. In modern world there are a huge number
sports, teams and players to bet on and this is
certainly one of the most appealing factors of this form
of gambling. Since the odds are based on more variable
and less on mathematical possibilities the nature of
gambling is very different as compared to playing a game
of roulette or black jack in a casino. Moreover the most
interesting part of sport betting is that for the sports
lover who is fascinated by every aspect of a player or
team’s history and skill, trying to guess the winner of
a particular game or tournament offers another level of
entertainment as well as a chance to win money.
