players into a pot. The winner is entitled to get all
this money as a prize. The winner is the one who has
the best card combination.
There are many different ways in which people play
poker. But the basic framework is more or less the same.
Let us have a glance of different types of casino
non-online poker.
Stud Poker
In
this type of poker the players are given cards some of
which are facing up and other are facing down. The
players have to deal on these cards in a series of
betting rounds. In this game the one who bets may be
different people in each round. Usually the player with
the best combination of face up cards starts the betting
in the round. The types of Stud Poker are Five card stud
and Seven card stud.
Draw Poker
This is another type of poker variant. In this game
each player first deals a complete hand. This has to be
done prior to the first betting round. In the round
after that the players replace the cards to develop the
hand. Standard five card draw, Gardena jackpots,
California lowballs and Badugi are some examples of draw
poker.
Community card poker
Another widely played form of poker is the community
card poker. Texas hold’em and Omaha hold’em are the two
popular types of community poker. It was more prevalent
after the World War II. Community cards or shared or
window cards are used in this game. These are placed at
the centre of the table. The players can share these
cards. The card that is dealt to the player is
incomplete or hole card. There after it is combined with
the cards placed at the centre i.e. community cards. It
then makes a complete hand. This set of community cards
is termed as board. Sometimes the cards are dealt in a
simple line. There is also a special arrangement of
these cards that are dealt. How these cards are to be
combined with each player's private hand differs from
the rules of different games.
