Problem with Casino Gambling
Casino, the most exciting place to visit where you can
pass your leisure time by earning some cash. This is the
basic core of casino. But different players visit casino
for different reasons. Some consider casino is a best
place for entertainment. But other considers it as a
primary source of money. While some players just visit
casino to developed skills. It’s true that winning money
in casino is really a good reason for excitement and
it’s obviously an excellent combination also. But visit
casino only for money is become a serious problem. It is
actually an addiction, though addiction is not necessary
for money only. Sometimes addiction may be for action.
Casino has so many advantages, like exclusive
entertainment place, boosting economy, reducing
unemployment, etc. But the only major problem with
casino gambling is behavioral addiction of gamblers.
Gambling, like all addictions can be devastating for the
person and his family.
Now what is gambling
addiction exactly mean? A person is addicted with
gambling means when the person is no longer able to set
limits and control his compulsion to continue gambling.
Gambling addiction is also called as compulsive gambling
or pathological gambling.
The characteristics that often seen with compulsive
gamblers are:
Preoccupation:
Compulsive gambler always preoccupied gambling activity.
They pass most of their time with gambling activity.
They try to avoid their problem by play gambling. They
forget everything about their life and gambling is
become their prime goal.
Loss of Control:
Pathological gamblers gradually lose their control upon
them. They know that they are addicted with gambling.
They try to avoid it also. But they can’t do it as they
loss their self-control. They become frustrated and to
overcome from frustration they keep gambling.
Borrowing Habit:
To
more gambling you need more money. Compulsive gamblers
want to gamble every time, so they need more money.
Therefore a borrowing habit grows among them. Sometimes
they need money to overcome their lose in gambling. Then
also they borrow more money to win money. Gradually they
developed borrowing habit and that makes them
bankrupts.
Losing Family Bond and Relationship:
Compulsive gamblers due to their gambling behavior they
often lose trust from family members. They become
antisocial and they use to lying. They try to avoid
their family responsibility. They become unable to
concentrate on their work place. It sometimes leads to
suicide also.
Criminal Behavior:
Gambling addiction also leads to criminal behavior.
Criminal activity often found among compulsive gamblers.
They do illegal act like theft, fraud, and deceit to
collect money for gambling. Crime like murder is also
sometime done by compulsive gambler.
Casino gambling is really entertaining activity if we
can avoid this
gambling problem. All problems are man made problem
and it can be controlled.
