Roulette:
Roulette is a very popular casino game. Europeans are
mad for roulette as it originated in France.
It is
actually a wheel game. Before starting to play the game,
you have to bet on any number and color in the wheel.
There is a small ball in the roulette and after betting
the ball rolls in a particular direction inside the
wheel. The wheel then spins in the opposite direction.
Finally the ball rest in a slot and the number or color
of slot is match with your bet then you will win the
game.
Types
of Roulette:
There are two types of
roulette game is available in casino, American and
European. These two types of roulette have two
characteristic differences between them. The first
difference is that the in American roulette wheel you
will find 38 numbers, while the European has 37 (from 0
to 36). The second difference between the European and
US is that in Europe there is generally only a single
zero slot, whereas in the US there is often a double
zero slot. It is preferable to play on a wheel with a
single zero slot as the player’s odds of winning are
better.
The chips use in roulette
is also different in America and Europe. American uses
non-value chips. Non-value chips means all chips
belonging to the same player and value is determined at
the time of purchase, which is also same. European uses
standard casino chips, which use in general casino bet.
Different Bet in
Roulette:

Straight: A single
number. The chips are entirely on this square and no
other.

Split:
When bet is on two
adjoining number either vertically or horizantally
it is called split. The chip is placed on the edge
between these numbers.

Street:
A bet on three numbers on a single horizontal line.
The chip is placed on the edge of the number at the
left or the right, depending on the layout

Corner:
A bet on four numbers in a square layout. The chip
is placed at the horizontal and vertical
intersection of these numbers.

Sixline:
A bet on two adjoining streets, with the chip placed
at the corresponding intersection.

Column:
A bet on all 12 numbers on any of the three vertical
lines.
