Holdem poker is a card game which played with typical 52
card deck. The game of Holdem poker can play with
minimum two players and maximum of eleven players. Here
the rank is same as regular poker game.
Categories of Holdem Poker:
There are five different categories of
Hold'em poker.
These categories are as follows:
Preflop:
In this stage every player dealt with one card, starting
with dealer button and then second one. Here both cards
are face down. After that betting is start.
Flop:
The dealer turns over three cards in the middle of the
table (called "the flop"). These are community cards
that each player can use to create the best hand
possible out of. In this stage betting occurs.
Turn:
The dealer turns over another card making four community
cards. This fourth card is called “the turn” or “fourth
street”. Betting continued in this stage also.
River:
The dealer turns over the fifth and last community card.
This is called "the river" or "Fifth Street”.Betting is
still continued.
Showdown:
The final stage here is showdown where the remaining
players in the hand show their cards in order from the
person who bet first.
Hand ranks in Holdem poker:
Royal Flush:
An Ace-High straight of one suit.
Straight Flush:
A straight of entirely one suit.
Four-of-a-Kind (Quads):
Four cards of the same rank.
Full House (Full Boat, Boat):
Three-of-a-kind and a pair.
Flush:
Five cards of the same suit.
Straight (Run):
Five cards of sequential rank.
Three-of-a-Kind (Trips, Set):
Three cards of the same rank.
Two Pair:
Two cards of the same rank and another two cards of the
same rank.
One Pair:
Two cards of the same rank.
High Card:
When players don't have any of the above, then highest
card determines the hand.
