despite the adverse consequences, which have occurred or
can occur. It is a very big problem in United States of
America. According to a study approximately 85% of the
American adults have gambled in some part of their
lives. A large number of compulsive gamblers loose most
of their salary in the gambling. Compulsive Internet
gambling also affects the family life of the gambler.
Divorce rates are also high in the couples in which one
or both the spouses are suffering from compulsive
gambling disorder.
Effects of Internet
gambling on mind
There are severe affects of the
Internet gambling
on some part of the mind. Many psychological disorders
such as anxiety and depression can occur because of the
Internet gambling especially at the time of losing. All
these adverse effects start coming as soon as the person
starts losing in the gambling. In some recent studies
it is seen that most of the gamblers show similar
responses to the prospects of winning and losing money,
while gambling, with the response to the drugs like
cocaine and morphine. The blood flow in the brain is
also altered the same way, as it is altered at the time
of infusion of the cocaine in the brain. It is at the
gambler’s peril, whether he wants to play gambling or
not, considering these bad effects of gambling.
