Las Vegas better known as the gambling capital of the

world. The main reason for this may account for the fact
that when the rest of the world was fighting with the
question of legalization & regularization of gambling
this city already accepted gambling as a legalized
activity in the year 1911 on March 19th. One
month later the city issued six gambling licenses to
various hotels & gambling halls. In the year 1931 along
with the construction of the Hoover dam the city saw a
huge boost in the population as workers from all over
the continent began to flock to the city. The same year
also marked the beginning of a new era gambling in the
city as the first gambling hall named “Golden Nugget”
was inaugurated. The first hotel casino was in the name
of El Rancho was constructed in 1940.
