The social animal that man is, he always finds ways and
means to connect with the like minded. As they say,
Birds of the same feather flock together. That’s about
it; Gamblers organize themselves, either on the web or
in downtown pubs to exchange views. A formal attempt to
collate the gambler’s views, strategies etc is a
Gambling Forum.
Types and types of forums
There are as many types, as there are variants of
gamblers, games they play and the area they belong to.
Poker Players, Baccarat, Bingo, Lotto, Casino kings, and
what have you, as, many different names as one can
imagine. Gambling forums put up message boards for all
the people to communicate with each other, in a
transparent manner. Gambling forums are an effort to
organize the gambling community.
What do they tell?
A
novice would do well to begin in a forum to understand
what goes around the games, how the games are played and
the rules, regulations, tricks and the jargon.
Everything is freely available for everyone to share. A
typical poker forum would have all the information about
Poker, and how to play it. It also notes the experiences
of the winner, maybe the losers also sometimes.
How does one join?
Typically, an online forum, or a blog as it may be
called, has members. Anyone can register for a
particular forum through the internet, and once a person
becomes a member, he can post messages on the boards. If
a person has a problem, he can post it on the board,
invariably; he will find an expert who knows a way out
of the problem. The expert then puts up his solution and
thus, help is rendered across the group.
A
gambling forum is a beautiful mechanism for finding
solutions to problems, one would otherwise find so time
consuming and cumbersome, to crack, otherwise. It is
also a way of sharing a new trick or knowledge someone
might have picked up, for the benefit of others.
Let’s have a small look at what kind of messages flash
across a typical forum:
A
Sample board
“I
am trying my hand at a few chip tricks. Can someone help
me with my hand movements? I always seem to be unable to
control them".
"Tell you what, try the twirl,
well, it is where you hold 3 chips up, take out the
middle one, twirl it 180 degrees, and then put it back
between the 2 other chips. It needs a bit of practice
mate, but if you’ve done this, you will love the
results.”
The Power to connect
As
we see in the above sample communicating, it is between
two people who may never see each other but have made a
difference in each others’ lives..
That’s the power of a
Gambling Forum..,
any forum for that matter.
