California. The main reason why the industry is on the
increase is because of the facilities provided by the

gambling state and the rate at which this industry is
increasing the California can go up to the third largest

$14 billion business in California. The amount actually
lost by consumers is much less, approximately $2.5
Billion. While that is a small portion of California's
approximately $700 billion economy, it is a sizable
amount of money. The basic framework of gambling was
provided by the people through constitutional amendments
rather than by the Legislature.

pathological gambling among high school and college-aged
youth about twice that of adults. People of age 21 or
older, a survey of teenagers at Atlantic City High
School revealed that not only had 64 percent gambled in
a local casino but 40 percent had done so before the age
of 14. Adults made their first bet for money at the age
of 22.5 on average. Nineteen percent placed their first
money bet before the age of 16. The average teenager
begins gambling at an age of 12. These are only some of
the facts in reality the gambling is affecting the USA
in much severe way.
