economy of Monaco:
Monaco is one of the
beautiful locations; natural harbor, exceptionally mild
climate, and gambling tables in Monte Carlo make it one
of the best-known resorts of the
Riviera
therefore very popular gambling. Almost half of the
mainly Roman Catholic population are French while about
16% are citizens of Monaco and an equal number are
Italian. French is the official language, but English,
Italian, and Monegasque are also widely spoken.
In Monaco, the casino
contains a theater, which houses the Monte Carlo Opera
and Monaco has a 16th-century palace, a 19th-century
cathedral in the Byzantine style, and a noted
oceanographic museum, founded in 1910 by Prince Albert
I. Auto racing is popular, and Monaco is home to both
the Monte Carlo Rally and the Monaco Grand Prix even the
Monte Carlo Open is a major professional tennis
tournament.
On economy point of
view, the gambling casino in Monaco which is managed as
a concession by a private corporation, accounts for only
a small portion of government revenue, although it
contributes greatly to the economy by attracting
tourists and Monegasques are not admitted to the
gambling tables.

The Monaco Government
Tourist Office announced that for the first time in
Monegasque history, the Principality is allowing a poker
tournament to take place in the world-famous venue of
Monte-Carlo and Monte Carlo Millions promises to be the
most glamorous and exciting poker event in history as
A-list celebrities, professional poker players and top
amateurs convene from around the globe to go
head-to-head in Monaco.
Matt Savage, tournament
director of the Monte Carlo Millions, also announced
that twenty professional poker players including The
Hendon Mob have already stated that they will be
participating in the highly exclusive poker tournament
and all world-renowned players, including former World
Series of Poker champions are participating.
