Introduction:
A
poker table is basically a table on which poker is
played. To build a poker table all one needs is a couple
of plywood plates for the table ground, a nice fabric
for covering the plywood plates in ones own preferable
color, some wood boards to build the rail frame around
the table and a piece of plastic to cover up the wood
boards to be more comfortable.
The following steps are given on how to build the table:
First step
Before starting to make the
poker table one has to check weather he has
enough cloth to cover the plywood. Then one has to
fasten the fabric with the rail. The fabric should cover
the entire plywood plate before beginning with further
instructions. Place the rail frame onto the fabric and
make sure there are no visible wrinkles.
Second step
Get a stapler and staple the fabric onto the plywood
plate. The idea is to concentrate on one corner (curve)
at a time. One should start the stapling just before one
of the corners curves. Before stapling one should
repeatedly get as much extra fabric to the previous
staple as possible. Making sure that the fabric is still
flat and without wrinkles on the top side of the plywood
plate. When the first corner is finished, continue on to
the next one and after one has finished all the corners
he could continue with the sides.
Third step
After finishing the stapling one should continue by
cutting out the middle of the fabric for the staple.
This is done to leave just the fabric for the rail.
Leave an extra amount of fabric so one id able to fasten
it with staples too. A pencil can be used to mark where
to cut the fabric if it makes one feel more comfortable
with that.
Fourth step
Once the big hole has been cut from the fabric it now
ready to for fastening the fabric on the inside side of
the rail frame. However, first one needs to cut the
fabric in a zigzag pattern on the short edge of the
table between the corners, making sure that one does not
cut the fabric to far so that the foam is inside. The
long sides should be kept untouched with a straight cut
between the corners along the ring side
Fifth step
Starting with one of the short sides and keeping the
fabric straight all the time while pulling it up and
stapling it onto the rail frame. Remove the left over
from the fabric and enjoy the finished part with the
fabric and the rail frame.
