Poker is one of the best
card games that any card lovers love to play. There are
many people who play this game by sheer love for it.
There are card lovers who always want to play this game
as it is addictive and secondly it’s pretty easy to
play. There are various types in the game of poker
itself. Texas Holdem Poker is one of the types.
Texas Holdem poker
is one of the best games for a beginner to learn. Other
types of Poker games like 7 card stud or Omaha High
require a great number of possibilities for calculating
odds and perhaps even trying to count cards. Texas
Holdem can be learned in a very less time by anyone, and
can be played well with a few hours practice.
The Game:
Texas Holdem is the most
popular of the variations of the game of Poker. It is
famous in US as well as other parts of the globe due to
its simple rules and fast paced play. It is a game that
can be played in a group ranging from 2 to 10 people. A
Hand of betting in this game consists of upto four
betting rounds. There are blind bets that when placed,
the player gets 2 faced down cards from the packet. The
first three rounds are given names- “The Flop", "The
Turn" and "The River ". The hands and bets are placed in
a clockwise sense starting from the left hand of the
dealer.
There is a Showdown
after the fourth and final Betting Round is complete.
There is a showdown once the
fourth Betting Round is complete. In the Showdown, each
active player combines any combination of their two
Pocket Cards, as well as the five of the Community Board
cards, to make a highest ranking five card, Poker hand
possible. The player who possesses the highest
ranking of five cards, which is also called as a Poker
hand, using any combination of the five Community Board
cards and their two Pocket Cards, wins the Pot. The
player who possesses the highest-ranking Poker hand wins
the Pot. The "Rake" or the winner’s share from the
actual pot is deducted, while the house itself earns the
rest of it.
