Poker:
Poker is a kind of card
game that’s played all around the globe by card lovers.
Many people love the game of Poker. Poker is not only
played in conventional casinos but is also played online
over the Internet. The poker that is played over the
Internet is called as Online Poker. Online poker is
responsible for increase in the casino income for the
past few years. In 2005, the estimated increase was
around $200m. Some online poker hosts provide
information, tips and tricks to players ranging from
beginners to experts. Poker is an interesting game in
the casinos and is also famous among card lovers. Some
Poker sites even offer sign-up bonuses to attract
customers. Sometimes these bonuses are also called as
bonus codes or just the codes or bonuses. The rules of
the conventional poker that is played in the casinos are
different from the ones that are played online. The
rules in the casinos regarding poker are more hard and
fast.
The game:
In the
game of poker,
betters pool all their money at the center of the table,
which is called as a pot. The players with fully or half
concealed cards may call their bet and the person with
highest ranking amongst others, wins the money. Chips
are used in the game instead of actual money. It is the
primary currency of the game. These chips can be bought
from the casino windows available as well as from any
casino employee. The chips are specially made with
different colour codes, shapes and sizes. This coding
for the chips is done for security reasons. Sometimes
these chips can be used in other casinos in the same
area for the purpose of uniformity.
Types of Poker:
There is certain jargon
for the game of poker though they might differ or change
for each sub-game. There are even different types of
poker – Draw poker, Stud poker, Community Card poker.
In Draw poker,
the players are distributed with 5 or more than five
cards each which are kept concealed. These cards can
then be replaced many number of times.In stud poker, the
players receive cards one at a time some of which are
displayed on the table. In this type of poker the
players are not allowed to replace any cards.In
Community card poker, there is a pool of cards from
which the players can pick up the ones that make highest
pair.
