Poker Games:
The game of poker was
witnessed first in the French territory on the New
Orleans. This game was then brought into the United
States by the Louisiana Purchase in 1803. The game of
poker was supposed to have born in the early 19th
century. Earlier it was played only in the casinos and
was not legal to play anywhere outside. Earlier the game
of poker was played with only a pack of 20 cards and
only between 4 people.
This game is played with
regular playing cards. In this type of game, the card
ranking is compared possessed by all the players. The
one having the highest rating wins the bet. The stakes
are increased at every round. There are many versions of
poker. All of these poker types differ in rules. These
rules differ due to its origin. All suites of the pack
of card is used. Some of the rounds include replacing or
increasing the bets. The number of bets along with the
card replacement rule changes with the version of poker.
Different types of
poker:
There are various types
of poker that are played all around the world. Some of
them are: Community Card Poker, Draw Poker, Stud Poker,
Low Hand A-5, Low Hand A-6, Low Hand 2-7, Online Poker,
Las Vegas Poker, Atlantic City Poker, Omaha poker, Omaha
hi-lo, 7 stud poker, 7 stud hi-lo poker, Texas hold’em,
Five card poker, Crazy pineapple, Chinese poker.
Community card poker, stud poker and draw poker being
the regular or the important ones.
These games are mostly
played online or even in casinos. These are almost the
regulars of the
poker games. Texas hold’em is also one of the
important games that are played in many casinos all over
the US. There are various tournaments that are played
online along with some casinos hosting them for personal
interest or for fame. Many people from all over the
world come to these type of competitions to participate
and play in these games. There are single-table and
multi-table games in these types of tournaments. Many of
these tournaments are mostly held in Las Vegas or Texas
or Atlantic City. People also come to learn from the
experts in these tournaments. So, these tournaments are
not confined to the players alone but are open for all
the fans of this unique game of Poker. The fans and
followers of this game are increasing in thousands
daily.
