What is poker?
Basically poker is a
card game and the most popular of a class of games
called vying games in which players with fully or
partially concealed cards make wagers into a central pot
after which the pot is awarded to the remaining player
or players with the best combination of cards. It can
also be refered to Video Poker which is a single-player
game seen in casinos much like a slot machine and hence
majority of poker games do share some common features,
especially betting in rounds and the ranking of hands.
Poker is commonly played in cardrooms often within
casinos that seem to divide into stud games, draw games,

games where anything goes, including games that seem to
have no reason to be called poker.
