About gambling in
football:
Once upon a time a
player of practicing team soccer in Britain being fed up
by the monotony of kicking the ball picked up the ball
and started running with the ball in his hands.
Historians believe that this gave birth to what is one
of the most favorite sports of the United States which
is known to us by the name of football. As with the
popularity of the game gambling in football has also
become popular and thus got attached to it. To make it
more available outside the United States
gambling in
football has also introduced in the internet to the
rest of the world. This is because especially gambling
or betting in football is more rewarding than any other
type of sports as it has been an extremely popular way
to make big money in the recent years that produces far
better prize money amounts for relatively low stake
money. Of course a bet on a horse in a particular racing
event can not that much assuring or produce the same
odds.
Structure of football
gambling in short:
Gambling or betting in
football is mostly done through bookmakers. One of the
most favorite and commonest American forms of a football
betting is buying a square for the Super bowl. Of all
the types of bets and wagers available on football the
most common forms includes straight bets, totals that
are also known as over or under bets, money line wagers,
half time wagers and parlays also known as multiples or
combos. Then there are also the teasers and the
proposition bets or the exotics. In the straight bets
the particular team that is being wagered on must win by
the point spread given at the time of the wager. Mostly
the odds in this type of wagers are $1.10 to win $1.00.
In case the match results in a tie the bets placed are
considered as no action and money wagered is
re-deposited back into the account. The totals are
combined scores of both teams for games wagered on. Then
comes the money line wagers. In this type the team
wagered on has just to win the game and the amount which
is laid or taken for each game may vary.
