The legality of internet gambling all over the world
The internet gambling developed in the last decade but fast it turned into a mania for a lot of people. France also enacted new laws about the Internet gambling. The government preferred giving licenses to all websites who are reliable and have intensions to pay all taxes and obey the laws. The other alternative was forbidding all of the 25 000 internet gambling websites.
India seems to have a very strong policy against the gambling, especially the internet gambling. It has always been forbidden and considered as an offence against the government which is strongly punished.
The Israel government seems to have an attitude similar to the Indian. There were not any restrictions concerning the online gambling but in December, 2005 all gambling websites and gambling operations was banned and from that moment they were considered as a crime. However, the only exception was made in July 2007 when the website Play65 was allowed and it was the only way for Israelis to gamble online.
Surprisingly, Russia showed quite a conservative attitude towards the Internet gambling. The government passed a new law in 2006 which forbids all kinds of online gambling in the country. Everyone who breaks the law will bear amenability in the court.
The legality of the internet gambling in the USA if very complicated. The reason is that America is a federal country and each state has different laws. For example, in some states such as North Dakota the internet gambling if officially allowed but in New York City it is prohibited and a lot of people were arrested for doing the illegal activity.
In most of the other countries in the world the online gambling is allowed by the government but it is regulated by the country. Those countries include almost all countries in Europe (especially in the EU), some of the countries in South America and a few countries in Asia. Most of the countries in Africa have not legalized the online gambling and it is considered as an abuse against the law.
