Penn National Execs Reveal Hollywood-Themed Casino Plans
As reported by the Chambersburg Public Opinion: "Executives from Penn National Race Course tried to sell state gaming regulators Thursday on their plans for a Hollywood-themed slots parlor at the Dauphin County racetrack. "Peter Carlino, chairman and CEO of Penn National Gaming Inc., told the state Gaming Control Board that a casino at the 34-year-old track would be 'an economic engine for the community and the state.'
"Besides Penn National representatives, 10 others testified at the 90-minute hearing at the auditorium of the State Museum in Harrisburg. The gaming board is conducting 18 days of hearings, which began Wednesday in Gettysburg, on 22 proposals for 14 slots licenses across the stateĀ "
