Cricket Betting

Sport betting is nothing but an activity of predicting the results of a match by making a gamble on the result of the match or any other sporting event. Betting can be found in all sports including cricket and even individual sports. In countries like India, where cricket is like a religion, cricket betting is common. Although, it is a common phenomenon, whether the country accepts is legally and morally, depends from country to country. Sport gambling is forbidden in North America, whereas the profession of book making (accepting sports wagers) is considered to be an honorable profession in many European nations. It is administrated and well regulated. Legalized sports betting including cricket betting is regarded as a hobby for fans all over the world. It is also believed that activities such as betting and gambling increase the popularity of the sport that is so concerned. If done in a legal way, it is sheer enjoyment and loads of fun. Looking at the other positive side of cricket gambling, it should not be forgotten that gambling is a way to economic development of the nation. Cricket is a popular sport and is almost like a religion in India. However, looking at the other aspect of gambling, it is also opined that the activity poses a threat to the integrity and the professionalism involved in the sport.
